Ah Yi Handmade Noodle Fish Soup (阿壹手工麵粉粿魚湯) at Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre represents the finest traditions of Singaporean hawker cuisine, serving authentic handcrafted noodles and fresh fish soup from their beloved stall at #01-66 since relocating from the Old Woodlands Town Centre as part of the hawker center's establishment in 2018. This cherished family-run establishment has earned recognition as one of Marsiling Mall's most beloved stalls through their unwavering commitment to traditional preparation methods, particularly their signature manually hand-pinched mee hoon kueh that achieves the perfect chewy, bouncy texture that distinguishes authentic handmade noodles from mass-produced alternatives, creating an exceptional dining experience that honors Singapore's rich culinary heritage.
The stall specializes in expertly prepared mee hoon kueh where each individual piece is carefully hand-pinched to order, ensuring optimal texture and freshness, served alongside aromatic fish soup featuring premium fresh fish combined with aromatic herbs and spices that create deeply satisfying, nutritious meals. Their comprehensive menu includes various noodle options such as Ban Mian, You Mian, and other traditional varieties available in both soup and dry preparations, with dishes affordably priced around -6 and additional fish slices available for just extra, making quality handmade noodles accessible to students, families, and working professionals throughout the northern Singapore region who appreciate authentic flavors and generous portions.
Customer reviews consistently praise Ah Yi Handmade Noodle Fish Soup as delivering some of the best mee hoon kueh in Singapore, with food enthusiasts rating the establishment 8.5/10 and describing the soup as flavorful but light, the minced meat as well-seasoned, and the handmade noodles as maintaining exceptional chewy texture that keeps customers returning weekly for consistently excellent experiences. Located just 5 minutes walk from Marsiling MRT station within the bustling hawker center environment, the stall represents the successful preservation of traditional hawker craftsmanship in modern Singapore, ensuring that time-honored cooking techniques and authentic flavors remain accessible to new generations while maintaining the affordable pricing and welcoming atmosphere that defines Singapore's beloved hawker culture.
Patronise this stall last time and came back with my friends today because they missed the taste. Very thin and slippery, slip and slides like wild wild wet in my friends mouth. Prefer the soup version, dry one a bit too tasteless and not salty.
They charge $0.1 for an extra bowl and utensils because they are only given 150 plates a day.
4/8/24: came back after 1 year to do a QC on quality. Mee Hoon Kueh is still as good as always, very hand made and the dough is very chewy. However, have to deduct 1 star for the soup. The Tom yam soup is just sour like lemon but missed the spicy kick from chili. They have changed stall location as well.

The soup is a bit bland, the handmade mee hoon kueh is delightfully chewy. The taste evokes childhood memories. Overall, it's worth a try.

Tried their Mee Hoon Kueh (Dry Version), hand torn, soft and chewy. Fried anchovies were very crispy. And their Sambal really went well with the Mee Hoon Kueh. Definitely worth to try this stall.

First time at Marsling Mall. Walked around saw a queue and decided to join after reading very good reviews on google maps. The reviews are accurate this is a gem of a food stall in this hawker centre.
Ordered the small size Mee Hoon Kueh for $4. Portion is good, just nice for me. Broth is nice and savory. The highlight is the mee hoon kueh, very chewy and sticky but soft too.
Seem like a family run business based on my experience and the other reviews here. The son taking orders is very polite and courteous. Hope the auntie and uncle stay healthy and happy because I am sure they make many people happy with their food.

Handmade you mian is springy enough. Soup base was alright, quite bland. I feel the minced meat is not very well marinated. They use baby spinach which tastes better than cai xin. Ikan bills are crispy. Egg is runny. Doesn't have the usual garlic based chilli sauce.

Hidden gem here, run by hardworking family of 3. Love their chewy hand pulled mee hoon kueh & consistently fresh fish slices. Their condiments like fried onions and chilli sauce are nice too.
Craving for the mee hoon kueh often & I appreciate their food 😙🤗

Long waiting time around 1pm, presumably is their amount of delivery orders.
I had fried fish soup with thick beehoon, soup doesn't make me thirsty, also have 冬菜 which is rare now, and with their fried onions, makes the soup really delicious. Only minus point is their fried fish, portion too little and cut into bite sized pieces.
Overall is a really good bowl of fish soup and i will definitely come again.

Jan'24, Nov'23, Oct'23- Still love the taste, always here for their mee hoon kuey (MHK).
Jul'23 - The fried onion which put into the mee hun kuay, make the MHK great

Mhk was bite-sized so you can enjoy it with just the spoon. The soup surprisingly tastes a little seafood-y even tho there’s no prawns inside. Not the best mhk ever but it’s not bad!

I tried the double fish slices meenhoon kueh, which was quite delicious. The fish slices are smooth, delicate and big portion. Mee hoon kueh is a traditional hand tear that is smooth and bouncy. Soup base is slightly salty, not plain. Sitting near main road is cooler than inner side. Overall: 8.5/10.

Love the handmade mee hoon kueh. So hard to find real handmade ones these days instead of the instant ones.
The noodles are chewy. Ikan billis is fresh. The magic touch of the fried shallots is heavenly. Nice tasty soup.
Really enjoyed eating this.
Note: short wait required.

Bought their dry ban main for $4.
It was fantastic. They literally make the noodle Infront of me. Noodle was very springy. Mix well and the big pieces of mince meat will be well coated (could do with half the slice). The slice meat were surprisingly tender while the ikan bilis adds a crush to the whole meal.
Simple ingredients done right.
