I came to this hawker to look for the famous seafood soup but is closed Monday. So went around looking for a stall that sells decent lunch or possibly another seafood soup. This Yumsea is located at #01-46, at the back lane where the foot traffic is significantly lower than the front facing. What caught my attention is the Batang (Spanish Mackerel) offering which is not available at the famous Marsiling Seafood soup. I will never opt for the Dory fish which I consider junk from the Mekong river which is non palatable however hard you may try. Ordered a Batang + rice without prawn small size for $6.80. The owner explain ed that $8.30 set will get you more meat and seafood. Taste? Almost there! Using the old famous one as benchmark. Portion: More than sufficient for a big guy like me. Definitely enough Batang and meat. I will have a hard time finishing for the Big version. Taste: Definitely rank above most seafood soup in other hawker centre. There is is hint of trying to taste like the famous one. Cleanliness: Superb here! This area is lacking in most other typical hawker. The cutlery and sauces are laid out very nearly and very pleasing to the eyes. I would come again, the ambiance is great with gigantic fans above providing the breeze and the back lane is less crowded.

Ordered the red grouper fish soup and exchanged the prawns for fish. Overall the ingredients are very fresh. Personally, I do not like the mincemeat. But this is personal preference. Will return to try again with exchange the mincemeat for more fish.

Hidden gem at the corner of the huge hawker centre with friendly stall holder. The very few broth that doesn't cause any reaction to my highly MSG sensitivity. The fish and prawn are seriously fresh and juicy and the meatball was a pleasant surprise which with the price is really value for the portion they offer. I'm addicted to the broth!!! it will be one of my regular visit from now on.

YumSea is a corner stall located at the back of marsiling mall. pple tend to overlook this stall if they do not know. Soup is sweet, flavourful. Fish and prawns are fresh and owner is generous with portions. Very tasty n value for money!

A very good alternative to the other famous yanji seafood soup in the same hawker center. Ordered $8 bangtang fish soup with rice. Portion is pretty good plus most importantly, there is good amount of soup compared to yanji. Lots of fish was given too on top of minced pork balls and prawns. While the amount of fish and pork was good, the prawns was abit of a let down as there is only one big prawn with the others considerably small in size. hope the size of the prawns can be more consistent.
